Before Trip to Aussie

Way to Narita

Always onboarding has both aspects: exciting and anxious. I started From Shinjuku sta. We have a couple of options available to go to Narita International airport. I chose a cheaper one, but not too slow. It’s called Keisei Skyliner. It is like semi rapid express. During on the train, a pop up noticed that my flight was delayed about 30 mins. That was not too serious. “Just 30 mins” I thought roughly.

Where terminal 3 is
Low cost carriers terminal are usually far away from its central.
It takes 20mins walk away. But don’t worry
there are many shops available in terminal 3 as well. Food shops are closed soon. For preparing 7 hours flight, I got freshness burger. (No food service on board) Then I realised I did not have enough Australian dollars, so I tried to exchange by card, but couldn’t. I should have done with foreign cashing. I did go with my Japanese cash for Aussie dollars.

2 hours delay
I was waiting for the flight in front of gate 24. On top of 30 mins, more delays are added. After an hour, we were ready to go. Everyone is seated, the captain said “something went wrong, please get off the plane”. My gosh.

Miss transit
After one hour more, we managed to get on “safely”. I had to transit in Cairns, there were 2 hours between. I missed it without doubt. Low cost carriers would not gurentee some delays.

Eating bbq taste snack
Arriving at Cairns, I stepped forward to Transit section, instead Exit. But it was dead end. My gosh. I went to exit because I had no choice. Looking for where to go to transit, but I finally go out from the airport. I was confused. But 7 hours flight made me put my hands into pocket to grab cigarettes.
I was thinking about where to transit. Smokes made me calm. And I found myself saying “domestic, not international” I was at international terminal. 15 mins away from domestic one.

Arrive at brisbane
In front of Jetstar counter, some assistants calls for who were from Narita airport. That was me. Fortunately, there was vacant and we could use it with no additional costs. It was about 2 hours flight. Short flight isn’t it.

The next post will be in Day 1 in aussie
Look forward!
